Duties and Responsibilities
| The Wonago Health and Demographic Surveillance Research Center (WHDSRC), one of Ethiopia’s HDSS, was established by Dilla University in 2022 with the goal of offering reliable data for the formulation of policy and decision-making. The field coordination offices were situated in Wonago, Gedeo Zone, South Ethiopia region. The distance between Wonago town and Dilla town, the Gedeo zone’s administrative city, is 15.4 kilometers. Eight randomly chosen kebeles—six rural and two urbans—were selected at baseline to make up the current WHDSRC. WHDSRC, like other similar centers in Ethiopia, will play a major role in data generation and can also serve as a platform for researchers interested in using our sampling frames for PhD or postgraduate research activities.
የዎናጎ ጤና እና የስነ-ሕዝብ ክትትል ምርምር ማዕከል (WHDSRC)፣ በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ካሉት የHDSS ማዕከላት አንዱ ሲሆን፣ በ2022 በዲላ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የተመሰረተ ሲሆን የፖሊሲ እና የውሳኔ አሰጣጥ ለመቅረፅ አስተማማኝ ውሂብ ለማቅረብ ግብ አለው። የመስክ ማስተባበሪያ ቢሮዎች በደቡብ ኢትዮጵያ ክልል፣ በጌዴኦ ዞን፣ ዎናጎ ውስጥ ይገኛሉ። የዎናጎ ከተማ እና የጌዴኦ ዞን አስተዳደራዊ ከተማ የሆነችው ዲላ ከተማ መካከል ያለው ርቀት 15.4 ኪሎሜትር ነው። በመጀመሪያ ደረጃ በዘፈቀደ የተመረጡ ስምንት ቀበሌዎች—ስድስት ገጠር እና ሁለት ከተማ—የአሁኑን WHDSRC ለመመስረት ተመርጠዋል። WHDSRC፣ እንደ ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ያሉ ሌሎች ተመሳሳይ ማዕከላት፣ በውሂብ ማመንጨት ውስጥ ትልቅ ሚና ይጫወታል እንዲሁም የእኛን ናሙና ማዕቀፎች ለፒኤችዲ ወይም ለድህረ ምረቃ ምርምር እንቅስቃሴዎች ለመጠቀም ለሚፈልጉ ተመራማሪዎች መድረክ ሆኖ ሊያገለግል ይችላል።
