Duties and Responsibilities

The Administrative Duties/Responsibilities and Functions of the Special Needs Education Support Center Directorate (SNESCD) encompass a variety of tasks aimed at facilitating the effective operation and support of students with diverse needs. SNESCD plays a vital role in ensuring the academic success and holistic development of students with disabilities within the university community, through comprehensive administrative duties, responsibilities, and functions. Here are some key aspects:
Coordination and Oversight: SNESCD is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all activities related to special needs education within Dilla University. This includes collaborating with faculty, staff, and relevant university departments to ensure the provision of necessary accommodations and support services for all Students with special Needs
Student Support Services: SNESCD provides a range of support services tailored to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities. This may include academic tutoring, counseling, accessibility assistance, and provision of assistive technologies.
Accessibility and Environmental Adjustments: Ensuring accessibility across campus facilities and classrooms is a crucial aspect of SNESCD’s responsibilities. This involves assessing and implementing environmental adjustments to accommodate students with physical disabilities and sensory impairments.
Resource Management: SNESCD manages resources allocated for special needs education, including the considerations for assistive technologies, personnel, and other support services. This involves efficient utilization of resources to meet the diverse needs of students effectively.
