Our Journey

From a teachers college to a leading University of Applied Sciences – discover our history of growth and service.

1996 – Humble Beginnings

Founded as Dilla College of Teachers’ Education and Health Sciences (DCTEHS) with a handful of students and a vision for quality education.

2001 – Part of Debub University

Became part of the newly established Debub University, expanding its academic offerings to 12 departments.

2006 – Independent University

Granted full university status by the Council of Ministers, recognised for its exceptional graduates, especially in teaching.

A New Chapter: University of Applied Sciences

In a recent higher education differentiation, Dilla University was categorised as a University of Applied Sciences (UAS), focusing on four primary areas: Agriculture, Natural Resources Management, Health, and Education.
