The Director’s Message

Dear all the communities of Dilla University, it is our pleasure to serve you, all the time with great diligence and enthusiasm. We firmly and sorely believe the grievance is one of the stumbling blocks for the success of a given institution. Employees that have a reservation on the decision of the institution could not discharge his responsibility with the zeal motive. Accordingly, our office always strives to bring impartial investigation backed by evidence and the law upon the grumble brought before our office, which enables the higher officials to pass just and fair decisions. We strive to elevate the truth!!

Job Description

Dilla University Grievance Handling Office has the objectives of providing an expeditious remedy for grievance, rectifying mistakes and weaknesses that are the cause for grievance and providing fair and equitable treatment for the employees of the institution which ultimately ensuring the smooth working environment of the institution. In addition to these objectives, our office has the following particular mandates and responsibilities. Among others, giving expeditious, fair, impartial response to the petition and grievance of all the communities of Dilla University, providing advisory opinion of amendment by evaluating laws, rules and regulations that applicable within the ambit of the institution, commencing investigation and forwarding advisor opinion when observable acts that jeopardized individual and group rights happened within the university. On top of that, the Grievance Handling Office has the mandate to strive for the prevalence of rule of law, respect of human rights and avoidance of maladministration within the institution.

  2. Mrs. Dehinent Fetene, Legal investigator of the office, and Lecturer of Law at College of Law and Governance Studies
  3. Panel that heard grievance of academic employees
  4. Panel that  heard the grievance of administrative employees
  5. Panel that heard the grievance of students
