Duties and Responsibilities

DUBEG Biodiversity Coordinator is responsible for directing and implementing comprehensive biodiversity conservation strategies. He plans, lead, and monitor activities related to species identification, collection, and conservation. The coordinator manages both ex situ conservation efforts, such as maintaining plant collections and seed banks, and in situ conservation initiatives to protect wild plant populations. He focuses in implementing targeted conservation techniques for threatened species and collaborates with other units within the Garden to ensure the proper management of living plant collections. Additionally, the Biodiversity Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and documenting herbarium collections and ensuring that all plant collections are accurately recorded and documented.
